SMS & Communication Terms

The Island Roots Grocer website currently collects email-based inquiry information and does not present a website form for enrollment in recurring text messages. Submitting the inquiry form does not provide consent to receive marketing texts.

If text messaging is introduced

If optional text messaging is added in the future, the applicable consent request will identify the sender, purpose, expected message frequency, and any available opt-out instructions at the point where a phone number is collected. Consent to marketing messages will not be treated as a condition of purchasing goods or services unless clearly permitted and disclosed.

Message and data rates

Carrier message and data rates may apply to any text messages. Delivery can depend on the mobile carrier, device, coverage, and technical conditions outside Island Roots Grocer’s control.

Transactional communication

If a customer separately provides a phone number during an approved business conversation, it may be used for the specific communication authorized in that context, such as a requested follow-up about pickup or a larger order. That use does not automatically enroll the person in recurring marketing messages.
